MG 1/100 Jesta Custom WIP

It took me a little while to figure out what kit I wanted to work on next. Well this is it the MG Jesta. This kit just came out and lots of people are working on one so figure maybe I can share some cool mods with you as I go. I also purchased some Kotobukiya M.S.G. MSG Weapon Units (Missile launcher and Gatling gun). I might use some scrap parts I have laying around too just have to wait and see.

As you see the image below I have already cleaned up all the runners and test fitted the kit. I must say this kit is very sturdy and I cant wait to start modifying!!

Something I do when test fitting is cut the pegs in half with a hobby knife. That way the parts are easier to take apart once together.

Sorry its been a while since my last update on this build been busy but today i got to work on some panel lining the feet. I am really liking the detail that I am putting in even tho it takes a bit of time REALLY worth it!!

Started working on the back pack today. I am going to be using some old Zeta scraps I have, Since this is going to be a High mobility suit I need a little more thrust! I filled in the Leg thrusters with filler putty. Am am using some joints and drilled into the back pack for some test fitting.

Wanted to show you guys how I cut my pla plate and get the same shape that I will need for the detailing on the back of the thursters.

First I trace it out on the part on Grafix clear film, (any craft store will have it for $15 for about 25 sheets) Then I use a metal ruler and find the shape I want to cut out. The Grafix film is used like a stencil so i can get the same shape for both thrusters.
